KNOW MORE

Why The Arab Australian Federation?

For a long time, a comprehensive advocacy for the legitimate political, economic and cultural interests of the Arab Australian community was at best a disjointed effort in the absence of a professional umbrella organisation to undertake this mission.

It is for this purpose that your Arab Australian Federation was born. Carefully thought out objectives and constitution were agreed, and a number of effective advocacy projects were initiated and proceeding smoothly. The measure of our success, my friends, will be a function of our unity, dedication to our objectives, respect for our constitution and our commitment to a broad joint effort, all of us, to the implementation of our program.

Meanwhile, administrative matters for the Federation are at an advanced stage of readiness and will be completed shortly.

In this respect, I am proud to announce to you today, the launch of our Website, your Website, to act as our joint window into our Arab Australian Federation. This site will evolve and be enriched continually. We invite your suggestions to improve this work.

Welcome to your home!

Finally, a big thank you to all of you who have tirelessly contributed to the efforts of bringing our aspiration into reality.

Forward together.

The Sydney Statement on Anti-Palestinianism

The Sydney Statement on Anti-Palestinianism was crafted by the Arab Australian Federation in consultation with leading community figures and renowned advocates for Palestine from diverse backgrounds.

We adopted this statement in response to the incessant violations by Israel of the Palestinian people’s human, political, economic and national rights under international law, including their right to self-determination and nationhood.
